Works and bodies of art represent a unique vehicle for motivation, conceptual shifts, and new understandings on the part of the adolescent learner. The movement encouraging arts activities within schools has attempted not only to facilitate the practising of arts in formal and non-formal settings, but also to improve the quality of education, appreciating the role of arts and creativity in the school environment as a tool for promoting ethical values and cultural diversity.
